Good start, but needs work
First of all, nice work so far. The basic style is good enough, and to all those who say it is or is not based off Final Fantasy, the battle system, as well as the music, is indeed very reminescent of final fantasy games. On the other hand, that same battle system is prevalent in nearly every RPG I've ever played.
Onto the game itself:
The graphics really need work, it might be painful to look at them if I hadn't attuned myself to bad flash(sorry to all the bad flash artists!).
The battle system is the bedrock of a tried and true system, but needs fleshing out. I know it's a prologue, but one attack and no skill developement? Also, like some before me said, you should make it so some healing, either in the form of items or skills, is possible out of battle.
One more thing to change is the name of skill points. Mana is usually used to refer to magic potential or life energy, and a game that seems to be based in more or less present times seems unlikely that much magic will be encountered, so maybe change it to AP(ability points) or something. I didn't get up to the boss(can't find the darned ambassador, grrr) but the battles are horribly repetative, and get very boring after the second or so, when you discover you have to guard against rockets. The music doesn't help.
Over0all it's really a bedrock thing. Keep working on it, and it could definately develope into something amazing.
Good luck!
